Counseling is a collaborative process between a client and counselor, where a client identifies goals towards which they would like to work. Individual counseling consists of a 45-50 minute session.
Group counseling can be a powerful therapeutic modality for individuals looking to gain additional coping skills or make connections with others who may have similar experiences. I offer groups that are a combination of psychoeducation and support. Groups typically last 8 weeks and will be composed of 8-12 individuals. Please call to inquire about current group offerings at The Counseling Post.
Clinical supervision has two basic goals: the development of the clinical skills of the counselor-in-training and the protection of the client. These are simultaneous goals during supervision. My intent is for supervision to be a safe learning environment. I approach supervision as a teacher, consultant and counselor and believe it is my responsibility to be transparent in each role. The supervision you will be offered will be developmentally appropriate for you so that it matches your level of experience and your therapeutic abilities.
Supervision services are based on availability. Please call to learn more.
